Zeigler Achieves GLOBALG.A.P. Certification

(Gardners, Pennsylvania – October 19, 2015) – Zeigler Bros., Inc., a globally recognized pioneer in development and manufacturing of specialized feeds for aquaculture, research and pet industries has obtained GLOBALG.A.P. certification. The 80 year old, family owned and operated business is only the second feed mill in the U.S. to achieve this certification under the Compound Feed Manufacturing Standard.

As farmers face increasing pressures to manage crop diseases and product safety through the biosecurity and traceability of their feed supplies, Zeigler has added the GLOBALG.A.P. certification to its credentials, providing confidence to its customers and the consumers. This standard sets rigorous compliance rules throughout the entire production chain, beginning with the purchase of raw materials and ending with the distribution of finished products. Quality Certification Systems (QCS) of Gainesville, Florida managed the certification process.

Obtaining GLOBALG.A.P. certification further demonstrates the company’s commitment to being at the forefront of quality assurance, product safety and sustainability. In addition to GLOBALG.A.P., Zeigler first implemented ISO standards in 2001 and presently holds ISO 9001:2008 certification, has recently implemented HACCP practices and is also an approved production facility under NOAA’s Seafood Inspection Program (SIP).

These additional quality assurances along with the company’s long history of innovation, research and development have propelled significant business growth, with current exports to approximately 50 countries.
