Feeding Suggestions
- Breeding: Barren Mares – 1 oz. daily ; Breeding Mares – 8 weeks prior and 2 weeks after, 2-4 oz. daily depending on condition. While in foal – 2 oz. daily. Last 2 mo. pregnancy and during heavy lactation feed 4 oz. daily. Stallions, standing – 1-2 oz. daily. Stallions, working – 1-2 oz. daily.
- Young foals and weanlings: 1 oz. daily.
- Yearlings: 2 oz. daily.
- Horses in training Moderate exercise – 2 oz. daily; Extreme exercise – 3-4 oz. daily.
- Ponies – ½ - 1 oz. daily.
- Pleasure Horses – 1-2 oz. daily
- Sick and unthrifty horses: Severe parasitism – 6 oz. daily gradually decreasing to 2 oz. ; General Condition Poor – 4 oz. daily gradually decreasing to 2 oz. ; After worming – 2 oz. daily for 15 days. Pre Operative – 4 oz. daily promotes resistance. Post Operative – 4 oz. daily promotes rapid recovery. Chronic Diarrhea – 4 oz. daily. Bone Disorders – 4 oz. daily for 30 days, if no improvement, return to regular recommended intake.
