Come join our growing team!! Zeigler Bros. Inc. is an established manufacturer of high-end specialty feeds for the aquaculture, pet, and bio-medical research industries. With our continued growth, we have an opening for a Pellet Mill Operator on 1st shift.

Reporting to the 1st shift Leader, the incumbent sets up and operates the pellet mill/ crumbles machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to produce pellets/products that meet ZBI quality standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities: Review daily production sheet and formula(s) paying attention to special instructions. Review SDS sheet for ingredients being used and adhere to PPE protection that is required for processes that will be performed.

Set up pellet mill and cooler following formula instructions. Follow all lock out-tag out procedures prior to set up of die and knife-blade performing visual checks of knife blades. Attach the appropriate die. Set and adjust crumbles rolls accordingly when applicable. Check bagging bins. Run feed while constantly monitoring product for problems with quality. Complete production paperwork accurately for feed being run.

Perform cleaning of conditioner and cooler following pre-established procedures to prevent cross contamination and for HACCP requirements.

Must have mechanical aptitude, good problem solving skills, ability to follow instructions. Must be detail oriented. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crawl, reach and lift at least 55 pounds on a continuous basis. Must pass a job related pre-employment physical and drug-alcohol screening.
