We source the majority of ingredients from local, USA grown and harvested sources, often within less than 200 miles of our production facilities. This close proximity to a wide variety of the highest quality ingredients, coupled with immediate access to many shipping hubs, provides us with a strategic advantage in reducing the carbon footprints of our products. In addition, all the marine components used in our feeds are 100% sourced from MSC-certified fisheries or as by-products from existing fisheries value chains. No components used in our feeds are associated with deforestation, and we utilize natural renewable sources of health additives, rather than medications and antibiotics which may result in unwanted residues. Through ongoing research, we continue to develop and utilize sustainable inputs and processing methods that help to protect and preserve our precious environment.  

High Nutritional Efficiency

Zeigler diets have been proven to provide among the best feed conversions in the industry. Through on-going research and development, we have raised the bar within our industries by reducing FCR’s (feed fed per unit of weight gain) on all our production diets. What this means is that a higher percentage of feed components are utilized to support the animal’s growth and energy requirements rather than being excreted. This has a direct health benefit for the animal while minimizing impacts on the environment. This is especially important for recirculation technologies being used in aquaculture where reduced bio load is critical.
