REGULATORY COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
COME JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM! Zeigler Bros. Inc. is an established manufacturer of high-end specialty feeds for the aquaculture, pet, and bio-medical research industries. With our continued growth, we are seeking to fill a new position of Regulatory Compliance Specialist. The primary objective of this role is to maintain regulatory compliance in accordance with applicable, government and industry regulations and requirements for sale and export of Zeigler products.
This position will require a high degree or accuracy and efficiency in maintaining the following responsibilities:
- Compliance monitoring-staying up to date with state, federal, and international animal feed regulations.
- Preparing and submitting technical documentation to regulatory bodies (USDA, FDA, EPA).
- Conducting internal audits and inspecting product information for compliance.
- Serve as the main contact between Zeigler and government agencies.
- Gather, organize, and keep updated regulatory documentation for all major sales markets.
- Communications directly with state, national, and international regulatory agencies and officials to obtain registration and export/import requirements.
- Communicate with various trade and gov’t support organizations to facilitate product sales and export/import.
- Support customer service and sales personnel with unforeseen challenges with export shipments.
- Support QA & Food Safety personnel with facility compliance, SOP development and training.
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Business, Legal, or Biological Sciences.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience and knowledge of regulatory compliance and/or legal knowledge & skills.
- Experience or interest in international business, logistics, travel, and working with diverse cultures.
- Ability to understand and navigate international regulatory issues, as well as engage with regulatory agencies as required for sale and export of company products.
- Complete all new product registration and renewals according to country and/or state specific schedules and requirements.
- Experience or knowledge in biological sciences.
- Experience in quality systems and requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Above average reading comprehension skills and attention to detail.
- Highly effective communication skills, oral and written.
- Effective organization and documentation of detailed information.
- Ability to think critically and offer solutions and recommendations to address potential challenges.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Spanish Speaking Preferred
